On 30.06.2023, the Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari in partnership with Hera, Polio Plus – movement against handicap and Inkluziva-Inkluziva organized round tables on the topic “Lessons learned from the Covid crisis: How to better access to primary health care protection for vulnerable groups of women – Roma women and women with disabilities?”
We presented the findings of the research we conducted with the support of NDI North Macedonia to better understand to what extent and how different factors affected the access of these two marginalized groups of women to primary health care services, especially preventive ones.
With the participation of key stakeholders from state institutions, health workers and the civil sector, the research findings were verified and we worked together to define recommendations for public policies to change the situation for these women – for the better.
