Within the framework of the project “Social Entrepreneurship for Young Roma Women (ROMANSE)”, we held focus groups with Roma women and girls from the community, in order to identify the problems in the employment of Roma women, their understanding of the concept of social entrepreneurship, as well as models for their activation on the labor market in North Macedonia. It was especially important to see the interest in social entrepreneurship among Roma women from the community.
The focus groups are part of the research conducted within the framework of the project, with the aim of determining the actual situation with social entrepreneurship in the Roma community with a focus on Roma women, as well as determining the needs for strengthening the capacities for social entrepreneurship among stakeholders.
The project is supported by the European Union and is implemented by the Roma Resource Center – RRC Skopje in partnership with the Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari, Simplexis from Greece and DIESIS Network from Brussels.
