I found Melek in front of the entrance of Shuto Orizari Clinic. He told me that he has a referral for his daughter, who is two years old, but he doesn’t know where or how to get there because he has no money.
Melek is a mother of six children and a wife, her husband is a citizen of R. Kosovo with a residence in our country and no possibility to get a job yet.
Together with Melek, we immediately headed to the Radiology Clinic, where she had already had an appointment for an X-ray of her hips because there was some suspicion of a hip malformation.
The child received the necessary examination and results on the same day. Together we took the results of the child’s examination, and explained to Melek what he should do next with the child. Fortunately, the family doctor told us that the child is fine according to the x-rays. She received another referral to the “Children’s Clinic” where she went alone and already knew how to manage on her own. In addition to this, we informed her about the acquisition of the right to social and child protection, with which we will further help her. In this way, the Association Initiative for Women’s
Rights from Shuto Orizari educates and helps citizens in the area of access to the need for health care. With our help, citizens are educated and enjoy their rights.
