Working meeting with family gynecologist

Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari held a working meeting with the family gynecologist Lambe Krsteski, the nurse, the adviser to the Prime Minister, Elvis Memeti, representatives from the municipality of Shuto Orizari, representatives from the non-governmental organizations Romalitiko, IRIZ and a Roma health mediator.

The topic of the working meeting was to conduct a discussion regarding the work of the gynecologist’s gynecological office, which has been in operation for 6 months. The sustainability of the practice, the financing of the nurse, and the increase in the number of patients were also discussed.

The following conclusions emerged from the working meeting:
By the end of next week, prepare a letter that will be sent to the directors of schools and kindergartens. After that, the meeting should be held with them and the following activities should be agreed upon for the realization of a parent meeting in order to explain to the parents the need for their daughters to be patients of the doctor.

 At the same time, it is planned to run a campaign to visit patients in frequented places in the municipality of Shuto Orizari so that they can measure their sugar and blood pressure, and at the same time encourage women to register as patients with the gynecologist.
Shuto Orizari Women’s Rights Initiative Association is expected to prepare the letter and send it to the directors. At the meetings there will be representatives from our Association, the prime minister’s adviser and other stakeholders. In terms of financial support, it remains for the municipality of Shuto Orizari to make a decision regarding the financing of the nurse.
It is necessary for civil society organizations that operate in the territory of Shuto Orizari and Topaana to mobilize and inform women about choosing a family gynecologist.
The meeting ended with the promise and commitment of all present.
