Elvedin Dubovic is four years old. In June, he injured his eye while playing with his brother. Out of concern, his parents immediately took him to the hospital, where an intervention was performed and the doctor concluded that there was a need for an emergency operation on the eye.
According to the claims of Elvedin’s mother, the operation at PJU UK for Eye Diseases is not subject to warranty. It is for this reason that the private Eye Clinic in Skopje, European Eye Hospital, undertook to carry out the operation in the amount of 120,000.00 denars.
Elvedin’s mother asked us to share her case in order to raise the necessary amount so that Elvedin can see clearly again and play carefree.

Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari does not participate in humanitarian actions, but according to the needs of the community, it is involved with active institutional representation.
After sharing Elvedin’s story, the director of the Eye Clinic, Mr. Bekim Tateshi, personally contacted us. After consulting with him, Elvedin’s parents and our colleagues went to the State Hospital where Elvedin was given another examination. The director himself took it upon himself to perform the operation for free! Now it follows to make additional analyzes for pre-operative intervention.

Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari thanks everyone who donated to Elvedin’s operation. A total of 86,000 financial resources were collected. The funds will be used for the necessary medications and possible post-operative costs. Association Initiative for Women’s Rights from Shuto Orizari thanks you all once again for your promptness and support. We will continue to be always side by side with our sisters and brothers for help and for their voice to be heard by the institutions.
We advocate for institutional resolution of such and similar cases!
We wish Elvedin a speedy recovery and a carefree childhood!
